On Friday, March 28th, a dramatic traffic accident occurred at the Hinkelstein tram stop at 5:15 p.m. A 79-year-old pedestrian from Eberstadt crossed the tracks on a zebra crossing when an approaching tram could not stop in time despite the braking. There was a side collision that threw the senior to the ground, where she stayed in the track bed.
Fortunately, the woman only suffered minor injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The tram remained undamaged. The police are now asking witnesses who were either on the train or at the stop to report on 06157-9509-0 to get more information about the incident.Details | |
