Serious accident in Jestetten: E-bike and car collide at the intersection

On Monday morning, February 3, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident in Jestetten. At the intersection Altenburger Straße and "in the lake", an 85-year-old cyclist collided on his electric bike with a car that was controlled by a 39-year-old. The cyclist wanted to go straight ahead when the driver drove up from the right and had the right of way.

The cyclist fell through the collision and suspended serious injuries. Rescue workers immediately supplied him on site before he was taken to the hospital. The material damage amounts to around 3000 euros. The police have started the investigation into the exact cause of the accident.
