Big anniversary: Das Fest in Karlsruhe celebrates 40 years full of music!
The Karlsruhe Open-Air Festival "The Feast" is ready for its big 40th anniversary, which will be celebrated in the Günther Klotz facility from July 24th to 27th, 2025. In southern Germany, the festival is considered the largest family festival and attracts tens of thousands of visitors every year. Martin Wacker, Managing Director of Karlsruhe Marketing and Event GmbH, is already very satisfied with the pre-sale because around 90,000 tickets were sold even before the complete line-up was released. Ticket sales began in November 2024, and two thirds of the tickets have already been awarded, which further increases the anticipation for the event.
This year's festival impresses with a variety of artists. The main players include Max Giesinger, Clueso and the British singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald. In addition, visitors can expect appearances by Zoe Wees, known for their hit "Control", Grossstadt whisper with "Fick-Leing-Allee" and Siffie, who will inspire her fans with "Forever Spring". Other acts are Bruckner, Dakhabrakha, Ok.Danke.Schüss, cooking force by KMA and Beauty & The Beats.

A special highlight of the festival is the classical program on the last day, which will take place under the new name "Mount Klassik". The classic orchestra and the Bach choir Karlsruhe perform here, with the KMD Christian-Markus Raiser acting as a conductor. It is expected that the classical event is attracting up to 20,000 visitors every year and thus is the largest classical event in Baden-Württemberg.

Around 70% of the program are accessible free of charge, including music, theater and sports. Entry is only necessary for the main stage on Mount Klotz, while other areas of the festival can be experienced without admission.
kick-off and additional events
The ceremonial unveiling of the main stage line-up took place as "Kick-Off Das Fest" on April 10, 2025 in the BGV-Lichthof in Karlsruhe, where Max Giesinger appeared in front of around 1,000 invited guests. This event further fueled the anticipation for the 40th anniversary edition.
In a region known for its diverse festival offers, “Das Fest” with its expected number of visitors of about 250,000 on the last weekend before the summer holidays is the focus. Particularly interesting events will attract numerous visitors this year who are looking for a varied festival calendar.
