On Saturday evening, August 10, 2025, the starting signal was given for the traditional Wachtfest in Tegernau, an event that has taken place regularly on the second weekend in August since 1970. The Tegernau music association and the brass youth group have once again come up with a lot of ideas to attract young and old to the beautiful forest clearing above the town. Bandleader Fridolin Walch didn't miss the opportunity to announce that the band would continue to heat up the atmosphere in the coming days. Sunday in particular has the motto of brass music: several music clubs from Bad Bellingen, Sallneck, Malsburg-Marzell and Wies will provide musical highlights.
Diverse entertainment for all generations
What makes the Wachtfest so special is the mix of entertainment and tradition. On Sunday lunchtime, many senior citizens streamed into the festival tent to unwind with brass music and a cozy get-together. But the younger guests also get their money's worth. A varied children's program is offered on Monday afternoons by the brass youth group. Young visitors can look forward to exciting games and activities, while adults can enjoy culinary delicacies and musical performances at the traditional craftsman's hock.
A shuttle service has been organized for those arriving by car. From 6 p.m. buses shuttle from the ski bridge at the Feldberg pass to the festival tent; The price for the bus shuttle ticket including admission remains affordable at 25 euros. Raffle and great prizes
Another highlight of the Wachtfest is the big raffle, where around 50 prizes can be won. The lots will be drawn on Monday afternoon and everything is prepared to give visitors the feeling that coming is worth it - also financially. The Tegernau music club attaches great importance to reasonable consumer prices so that everyone can have a good time without spending a fortune.
On Monday, the festival still has a lot to offer: the festival starts at 12 p.m. with hearty lunch dishes. The crowning conclusion is an evening concert by the Wieslet music association from 8 p.m., followed by another performance by the band “Fashion”.
