On Friday, February 7, 2025, there was a dramatic accident between a 14-year-old cyclist and a white van at 07:55 a.m. in a roundabout in Wiechser Strasse. The unknown driver of the van, who was equipped with the red lettering "room disinfection", drove into the roundabout and collided with the cyclist who then fell.

Although the boy initially did not want a medical examination, he later felt pain and visited a doctor with a parent. The driver and cyclists spoke to each other at the scene of the accident, but separated without exchanging their contact details. Now the traffic police Weil am Rhein has initiated the search for the driver of the van and is asking possible witnesses to report. Especially an older woman who has observed the incident and other witnesses with information about the van are urgently sought!
