On Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., a 33-year-old man in Mannheim wanted to steal objects from an unchecked car. The vehicle owner, alarmed by the suspicious situation, included the perpetrator together with a colleague in the car. When the police arrived, the thief managed to tear off and flee towards Mannheim-Neuostheim. However, the officials followed on foot and were finally able to arrest him, with a policeman being slightly injured.
