On the night from Sunday to Monday, a Skoda driver in Mannheim was pulled out of circulation during a traffic control. Officials from the Mannheim inner city police station stopped the 25-year-old at the Luisen ring around 3:40 a.m. Even during the check, the police noticed an alcoholic smell from the driver's breath.

A voluntary breath alcohol test revealed a value of 1.06 per thousand. Then the man had to go to the police station, where a blood sample was taken from him. Because of his drunkenness at the wheel, he will now have to expect a criminal complaint. The investigation is underway.
