78-year-old crashes with Skoda in Lichtmast: car tips over!

On Wednesday evening, a dramatic accident occurred in the Karlsruhe northwest city. A 78-year-old driver lost control of her Skoda around 6:25 p.m. and crashed into a light mast. The senior woman was traveling on Kaiserslauterner Straße in the direction of Heidsee when she came to the right in a left turn and collided head -on with the mast.

The vehicle tipped through the violent impact and landed on the roof in the adjacent field. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed, but the property damage is considerable - the first estimates put it at around 9,500 euros. The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear and are examined by the police.
