On Tuesday morning, a vehicle was reported on the B3 between Appenweier and Renchen at 10:30 a.m. When a police patrol wanted to control the car, the driver fled with excessive speed. The risky persecution ended abruptly when the vehicle in Ortenauer Straße caused alone and collided with a tree.

As first investigated, the driver was not in possession of a valid driver's license, and the car was not allowed. Due to expiring operating materials, the fire brigade's forces were also alerted. The accident recording by the Offenburg transport service is still ongoing.
