On Thursday morning there was a surprising flight accident on the Heininger airfield, which caused great excitement! A 50-year-old pilot of a Cessna had to make an emergency landing due to sudden weather changes. But on the approach, he incorrectly assessed the runway and lost control of his machine. On the wet lawn he could no longer brake in time and rolled beyond the runway, where the plane finally tipped on a sloping field.

Fortunately, the pilot remained intact, but the property damage amounts to a whopping 50,000 euros! The Backnang fire brigade was quickly on site with a strong contingent of 27 emergency services to cope with the situation. A dramatic incident that shows how quickly things can change in the air!
