Information about wind power in Rottweil: Citizens' event on November 27th!
Wind power is currently booming in Germany! EnBW and RWE charge onThursday, November 27th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.mto the information event about wind power projects. The venue is theZepfenhan gym and festival hall. The aim of the event is an open dialogue with citizens to provide information about the planned wind farm projects in the region.
Experts are available to those interested at various stations to clarify questions. This applies, among other things, to topics like this Approval process, nature and species protection and the benefits of wind power for the region. Visitors have the opportunity to decide flexibly when they come and how much time they want to bring with them.
Planned wind farm projects
Things will be particularly exciting at the...Rottweiler district. Here is the oneKEER – Cooperation of Renewable Energies in the Rottweil District GmbHworked as a project developer, and RWE has already been awarded the contract for land from ForstBW. These wind farm projects are part of the new legal framework that has been in force since 2022 and is intended to massively promote the use of renewable energies.
With the “Easter package” and the Wind on Land Act that came into force in February 2023, the federal states must make two percent of their area available for wind energy by the end of 2032. Such measures show how serious the federal government is about the energy transition.
Shortened approval procedures
The federal government has also presented a draft law to implement the EU Directive (EU) 2023/2413, which provides for an acceleration of the approval process for wind and solar energy. This project aims to Shorten approval times and thereby define acceleration areas for corresponding systems. Such innovations are intended to finally put the expansion of renewable energies on the fast track and ensure that the set climate goals can be achieved.
Those responsible see the close cooperation between municipalities and the energy industry as the key to a successful energy transition. If the public's commitment can be awakened, that is a good step in the right direction.
We hope for active participation in the information event and a fruitful exchange between citizens and experts. Ultimately, it's about our future and a sustainable energy supply in the region!
