Caution, fraud! False doctors try to cheat citizens to cheat thousands

On Thursday, March 6, 2025, false doctors tried to blackmail unsuspecting victims with frightening cancer diagnoses. An alleged “professor” contacted a 68-year-old woman in Tamm and claimed that her daughter was lying in a clinic and was seriously ill. He demanded 170,000 euros for a life -saving medication that is only available in Switzerland and what is not taken over by the health insurance company.

The suspicious woman wanted to make sure and asked for a conversation with her daughter. When the alleged daughter only cried, the 68-year-old became startled and ended the conversation. Fortunately, there was no financial loss. The criminal police are now investigating in both cases for fraud.
