A festive occasion in the Evangelical Community Center on Wenzelstein: On Tuesday, the five-year existence of the popular lunch table was celebrated! Pastor Margot Lenz, one of the co -initiators, remembered the beginnings of this great project, which has now become an important meeting point for the older generation. At a lively champagne reception and a delicious lunch, not only the successes of the past few years were looked back, but also to the promising future of the project.

Benjamin Henn, who is the full-time power of Caritas right from the start, has shared his valuable experience from the past five years. "If it is good, it is going," he emphasized, emphasizing that the food is not in the foreground, but the community and the conversations. The lunch table has developed into a social network where the participants not only eat, but also play, go for a walk and even take a vacation trips together. Henn praised the volunteers who form the heart of the project with their commitment and thanked the city of Ehingen and the churches for their support.

A look into the future

The celebration attracted over 50 guests who gathered at the tables to enjoy the sociable atmosphere. Mayor Tobias Huber underlined the importance of lunch as a meeting place. Pastor Lorenz Kohl spoke to the table blessing and expressed the hope that the project can also be continued in the new community center when the old building is torn down. "The heart lies in the people who come together," was his message, which underlined the importance of the community.

With a delicious menu made of tortellini and Kassler, the day was duly celebrated. The participants not only enjoyed the food, but also the opportunity to exchange ideas and make new friendships. The lunch table at Wenceslasstein is more than just a meal - it is a lively place of encounter that will continue to bring many people together in the future!
