high -tech in the classroom: Coaches make you want to do technology professions

at the Achern community school

On Thursday, February 22, 2024, two tech coaches from the Coaching4future education program at the Achern community school informed about training and study routes in the MINT disciplines of mathematics, computer science, natural science and technology. As part of the school professional orientation offer, the Baden-Württemberg Foundation, the employers' association Südwestmetall and the Baden-Württemberg Regional Directorate are involved in the Federal Employment Agency. The coaches had an entertaining hands-on lecture and many high-tech exponates to touch and try out in their luggage.

The educational program Coaching4future has been around at secondary schools in Baden-Württemberg since 2008. It should inspire young people for technical professions and show them attractive professional perspectives in the MINT area.

The Tech coaches Katharina Prager and Dr. Simone Bauer support the ninth grade students in professional orientation. They presented interactive lectures with videos and experiments and brought technical exhibits to touch and try out. They presented various technologies and explained to the students how MINT professions can contribute to solving important future tasks. The subject areas were selected by the school classes themselves and ranged from machines and robots to living and mobility of the future to medicine, lifestyle and environmental protection.

Coaching4future offers further information on your website, including a prospect called "Karrierenavigator", which analyzes personal strengths and inclinations and suggests suitable MINT courses and training professions. In addition, network companies in the program present their training and dual courses in the MINT area.

The editorial team is cordially invited to visit Coaching4future in Achern and to receive O-tones and image material from the interactive lectures and workshops. A prior registration with the press contact is recommended. It is therefore asked to consider the image rights of the students in video and photo recordings.

Further information on Coaching4future and printable images is available on the website of the educational program.
