Blower Door XXL Tests: Minimize energy costs with EAN50 GmbH
Blower Door XXL Tests: Minimize energy costs with EAN50 GmbH
The efficiency of the building envelope plays a crucial role in the control of costs, and Blower Door Tests are an indispensable instrument for uncovering possible leak. As managing director of EAN50 GmbH, Dieter Sartorius and Markus Fruwert support private builders and investors in reducing their energy costs in the long term, minimizing renovation costs and finding suitable grants. Your many years of expertise enables you to identify weaknesses and carry out a variety of energy measures in order to relieve customers financially in times of rising energy costs in Germany. Your Blower Door XXL measurement for large and high buildings is an important part of your work.
The increasing energy costs pose great financial challenges in Germany for private builders and investors in Germany. Especially in older buildings, it is essential to identify potential energy guards such as outdated heating systems, to identify a dilapidated building envelope or to minimize lack of airtightness. However, many already encounter difficulties when planning, since legal regulations must be observed in the event of renovation measures and additional costs are incurred. It can be particularly expensive when buildings have leaked, i.e. leaking, in the building envelope.
In order to identify these vulnerabilities, the Blower Door Test offers an effective and inexpensive solution to check the airtightness of a building. But for which buildings is this test recommended and under what circumstances even mandatory? Is it also possible to carry out after commissioning and how is the financing?
"Private builders are faced with an almost infinite mass of possible advice. If you are not careful here, you run the risk of getting to a dubious provider, as a result, high energy costs will continue to pay and has to fear building damage," explains Markus Fruwert, Managing Director of the EAN50.
"Especially with the Blower Door Tests, experienced experts are needed," adds his business partner Dieter Sartorius. "In contrast to small buildings, the implementation of a Blower Door test with large or high buildings requires careful and elaborate planning in advance. Solid planning and long -term expertise, as we have, are essential to make the process smoothly and efficiently."
By Blower Door Tests, customers of the EAN50 can achieve significant cost savings and at the same time ensure the value stability of their property. Since 2000, the company has carried out more than 70,000 blower door tests, advised over 6,000 builders and investors and has the necessary expertise to ensure a permanently airtight building envelope. The EAN50 team consists of highly qualified experts who are regularly trained in order to always stay up to date with the latest developments and to provide customers with the latest information. With individual renovation plans and the support for the procurement of funding, you are at your side with all steps - and that nationwide. Even if conventional financing options are not possible, you will find alternative ways to give your customers financial benefits, for example through tax breaks.
Airtight building envelopes for increasing efficiency and saving costs: A Blower Door Test
is so importantThe building energy network (GEG) prescribes a permanently airtight building envelope for new buildings in order to minimize energy losses and avoid damage to the building. This is achieved by an airtight outer shell, which must be sealed in accordance with the recognized rules of technology. To check how airtight a building is, the Blower Door Test offers the so-called differential pressure measuring method. In principle, the implementation is optional. The situation is different if a reduced air change is set in the opposite verification or if it is a KfW efficiency house-in these cases the test is mandatory.
In the Blower Door measurement, an electrically operated Blower Door measuring device with an adjustable frame is clamped into the opening of the input, balcony door or a window. The device creates a controlled air flow that is either guided into the building or out of it. The installation of the measuring devices must be observed according to normative requirements of DIN EN 13829 or DIN EN ISO 9972: 2018-12. People and animals can stay in the house during the measurement. In order to ensure an even pressure distribution, the interior doors must remain open during the measurement process. A professional implementation by experts is essential to find all leaks.
"Whether optional or mandatory, the Blower Door measurement during the construction phase also offers a solution to fix leaks early on and prevent later damage," explains Markus Fruwert. The flib-certified EAN50 examiners appear on time for the planned date and routinely carry out the test with a family home within an hour. The XXL measurement of EAN50 for buildings with up to 4 million cubic meters of room volume is specially designed to examine even large or complex structures. In large buildings, the measurement and preparation can take several days. The cost of a standard Blower Door Test starts at 357 euros. For larger buildings, individual offers are created based on the plans. Regardless of the building size, arrival and departure costs within Germany are always included. "We attach great importance to tailor -made solutions and first -class customer service - that's why we offer our customers transparent fixed price offers, without hidden costs or unexpected additional fees," says Dieter Sartorius.
Effective problem solving and individual advice from EAN50
With the Blower Door Test, a variety of problems in the construction system can be solved: it identifies leaks of leaky installation of windows and doors, damaged steam brakes, unplastered masonry, faulty electrical installations as well as penetrations of cables and pipes, especially with roof connections. He also reveals areas where components of different materials meet and false sealing agents were used. Due to the early detection of these vulnerabilities, the test helps to improve the airtightness of the building in the construction phase and to promote energy efficiency. However, the implementation by real experts is important.
"As a listed energy efficiency expert at DENA, flib-certified examiners for the building air density and sustainability auditors, we stand for competence and reliability: We refrain from passing on to third parties and personally take care of the concerns of our customers," says Markus Fruwert. For the future, plan to redefine energy advice by seeing it as a decisive part of the construction process, not only as a means of funding. Through transparent processes and comprehensive advice, you would like to ensure that every second building in Germany is energy -efficient and sustainable. "And best: we not only bring the latest, calibrated technology, but also a smile and good mood," says Dieter Sartorius.
