Dentrol suspicion: three men charged with Russia terrorist attacks!
The Federal Prosecutor's Office in Karlsruhe has charged three men who are suspected of having carried out spy activities in Germany on behalf of Russia. The main suspect Dieter S., who has been in custody since April, is the focus of the procedure. The case is negotiated before the State Protection Senate of the Munich Higher Regional Court.
Dieter S. and another defendant were arrested in Bavaria in April. S. is suspected of communicating with a Russian intelligence officer about possible sabotage campaigns in Germany. According to the indictment points, he had agreed to commit explosive and arson attacks to various industrial locations as well as military infrastructures. The aim of these activities was to undermine Germany's military aid for Ukraine.
Details of spy activities
The spied-up control destinations include facilities of the US armed forces, a loading station in the Upper Palatinate and a tool manufacturer. The two co -accused are said to have supported S. at least since March 2024. S. himself has scouted some of the goals on site, taking photos and videos that he sent to the Russian secret service.
For one of the co -accused, the arrest warrant was put out of execution, while the third accused is currently at large. The case had already attracted a lot of attention in April when Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock called in the Russian ambassador and Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser described the incident as the "particularly severe case of the alleged agent activity for Putin's criminal regime".
In addition, Dieter S. is also charged with the suspicion of being connected to an armed unit of the "People's Republic of Donetsk" classified as a foreign terrorist association. The indictment and the associated allegations illustrate the serious threat that such activities can represent for national security.
