Stuttgart before decision: Stiller's exit clause in danger!

Bundesliga Association Stuttgart could overturn the exit clause for Angelo Stiller, a 23-year-old midfielder who was previously trained in the youth of Bayern Munich. Stiller moved to Hoffenheim in 2021 to maintain regular missions in the first team and joined VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2023 after strong performances in Hoffenheim. Last season Stiller Stuttgart helped to reach second place in the Bundesliga - in front of record champions Bayern Munich. Stuttgart has contractually bound Stiller by 2028.

Stiller has an exit clause of 36.5 million euros that Liverpool could activate in summer. However, Stuttgart has the option to buy this clause for 2 million euros, which Stiller has to agree to so that the club can continue. If Stuttgart receives Stiller’s consent, you could negotiate a higher transfer fee. The interest situation is tense because Liverpool, under the competition of Bayern Munich, is looking for further reinforcements in midfield.

strengthening the midfield

As part of the squad transformation under coach Arne Slot, Liverpool won 2023 players like Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch. Another goal for the club is to find a key player for improving the team. Joshua Kimmich was originally considered by Bayern Munich, but now it is now indicated that Kimmich will probably sign a new contract with Bavaria by 2029, which forces Liverpool to rethink.

Stiller, who played an outstanding season in the Bundesliga and is compared to Toni Kroos, has attracted the Reds' attention. Statistical analyzes show that Stiller lies in various ball possession statistics in the 97th percentile for tried passes and in the 98th percentile for progressive passes. It is also very active in the game structure phase and ranks in the 97th percentile for ball touches and in the 92nd percentile for the preparatory actions. Nevertheless, Liverpool and Stuttgart also have to take into account Stiller’s defensive contribution, since this lies in the 23rd percentile for tackles and interceptions as well as in the 42nd percentile for the header duelle obtained.
