Energy expert Bruno Sing explains the advantages of plug-in solar devices!
Bruno Sing, an energy expert and active at the Bund Naturschutz (BUND) for over 40 years, will give a lecture on plug-in solar devices on January 15 at 7 p.m. in the St. Martin parish hall in Biberach. These devices, also known as mini solar systems or balcony power plants, enable private individuals to generate electricity themselves. Registration in the Federal Network Agency's market master data register is required in order to be able to use these devices legally.
The plug-in solar devices are characterized by a maximum feed-in power of the inverter of 800 watts, while the total output of the modules can be up to 2000 watts. These mini solar systems are not only easy to install, but also easy to remove so that they can be taken with you when moving. Responsible disposal is also guaranteed: after use, the solar modules and inverter can be submitted to the recycling center or sales point.
lecture on minislar systems
As part of the lecture, Bruno Sing will present the different types of minisolar systems, the components of which, functionality, prices as well as savings and legal relief. Questions about balcony power plants in connection with existing photovoltaic systems and the effects of dynamic electricity prices are also dealt with. Sing is also a district council in Ravensburg and spokesman for the Environment and Mobility Committee.
Further information on the advantages of plug-inolar devices provides the Consumer center . These devices offer different attachment options, whereby a 400 watt solar module can deliver around 280 kilowatt hours of electricity per year on a south balcony. The electricity cover could reduce around 200 kilowatt hours, which corresponds to an annual saving of around 60 euros at a current price of 30 cents per kilowatt hour.
The costs for a plug-in solar device are usually between 200 and 400 euros, although no sales tax is incurred when buying private. The economy of the devices depends on various factors, such as acquisition costs, alignment of the module and electricity price. The vertical assembly on the balcony parapet, ideally between the southwest and southeast, is particularly recommended because it reduces the summer generation peaks and increases the winter yields.
Another advantage of the plug-in solar devices is the possibility to increase self-use with a combination of two modules in a flat west and east orientation. According to the analyzes of the Consumer Center, these devices are faster than large photovoltaic systems in a period of 3 to 10 years, while in 20 years Years can save around 2.5 tons of CO2 emissions.
The experts advise you to regularly check and clean the modules in order to avoid reducing yields. Structural obstacles such as high shading or unfavorable orientations can significantly reduce the efficiency of the plug-in solar devices.
