Art with breakage: shiny views in the villa red!

In the Villa Rot in Burgrieden, the new exhibition "Glossy prospects" is opened, which takes visitors into a fascinating world of contemporary art. This exhibition not only deals with visual stimuli, but also addresses the challenges of our time. As the Schwäbische Zeitung , the eleven artists show that there are also fractures and glamor. While some works present optimistic views, others reflect the dark reality.

A look at the works of art

When you enter the villa red, it becomes clear: nothing is as it seems. In the garden, bizarre green watering cans hang from the trees, a work by the artist duo the change studio, which questions the pattern with humor. In the first exhibition space, a huge scrap heap caught the eye, which symbolizes the development of the world's population by 2030. The Swiss artist Carlo Borer has created an impressive work of art here that indicates the negative aspects of growth.

Another room surprises with a bizarre installation by Ulrike Buhl, where a pink paint sculpture captivates the visitors. "It looks aesthetic. But at the same time you can see breaks and strangeness in the works of art," explains the director of the museum, Sabine Heilig. This duality between beauty and disorder runs through the entire exhibition.

The dark side of art

The topic of manipulation in the photographs of Lena Schabus is dealt with particularly urgently. Her works, which at first glance appear like simple landscape shots, turn out to be fake pictures. "This is about manipulation," says Holy. The installation of the artist pair Peter Sauerer and Trude Friedrich, which show miniature objects, including figures with gas mask in front of an atomic bunker, illustrates the dark reality that lurks behind the beautiful appearance.

The exhibition also offers interactive elements, such as the “artistic survey” by Anna Herrgott, in which visitors can coordinate their favorite parts of the body on mirrling tablets. This mixture of interactivity and profound art ensures that every visitor is addressed in his own way.

opening and visiting information

The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Sunday, November 10th, at 11 a.m. The Villa Rot is open from Thursday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays and public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry for adults is six euros. As the Villa Rot itself, the exhibition is an invitation to think about the challenges of the time and to question your own perspective.

"shiny prospects" is more than just an art show; It is a mirror of our society that carries both hope and skepticism. The works stimulate thought and ask visitors to see the world with different eyes.
