After the violent protests at the political Ash Wednesday of the Greens in Biberach, numerous participants have to expect high fines. The protests that took place on February 14, 2024 had led to significant riots. One reason for the escalation was an aggressive mood, as reported zdf.de . Among other things, several police officers were slightly injured when the demonstrators were confronted with pepper spray and trimming sticks, among other things. Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir tried to look for the dialogue with the protesting farmers, but the situation continued to come to a head. The violence and unrest were so serious that the Greens had to cancel their event at short notice.
