Neukirch is progressing: E-charging station and car sharing for environmentally conscious citizens!
In Neukirch, an important step towards sustainable mobility was recently taken. On Thursday, the municipality opened a new electric charging station, which now also enables the use of e-car sharing. Mayor Reinhold Schnell emphasized that Neukirch was the first municipality in the Bodenseekreis to submit this application. This initiative is an example of the fact that even smaller communities actively contribute to the mobility turnaround.
The waiting time for the commissioning of the charging station has paid off, because from now on the citizens can be on the road with climate-friendly and flexible. Another advantage is that there are already charging stations by the provider Deer in surrounding communities, which makes it considerably easier to return the vehicles.
Expansion of the e-Carsharing stations
particularly gratifying for the Neukircher is the commitment of the Calwer company Deer, which works in southern Germany. In the presentation, Eileen Stork, a marketing employee of Deer, emphasized that the company plans to set up further e-car sharing stations in the region. She emphasized the goal of significantly improving mobility in public space, which is positive news for those interested.
Numerous signs show the growing user base from Deer: more than 20,000 customers and around 1,000 e-vehicles, of which around 500 are in car sharing operation. The companies also maintain 870 charging points, which further strengthens the infrastructure for e-mobility.
Simple use of e-car sharing
The e-car sharing program is easy to use: First, the associated app must be downloaded. In order to be able to use the electric vehicles, it is necessary to prove the valid driving license via the app. There is also the possibility to set up group tariffs what could be an advantage for communities or companies.
The vehicles are booked via the app, the billing is based on the actual use. It is billed per hour - an hour costs 9.90 euros, and the daily tariff is 69.90 euros. Particularly practical: loading at the new deer station is free of charge, while at other stations the costs are between 60 and 85 cents per kilowatt hour.
Furthermore, the electric vehicles are suitable for winter and are cleaned regularly. It was also mentioned that the new e-golf vehicles are equipped with two charging cans, which means that two cars can be loaded at the same time. For spontaneous journeys you can also use the stations in the roaming association "Hubject" if there is no deer station available.
The new e-charging station and the car sharing offer in Neukirch should not only improve local mobility, but also promote conscious use of resources and the use of environmentally friendly traffic alternatives. These developments are part of a larger trend that is becoming more and more important in rural regions and has the potential to change the way we move.
