Understanding digitization: Young people explore digital truck in Sulz

Our everyday life is becoming more and more digital. It is all the more important to not only be able to serve digital applications, but also to understand them. The experience-learning truck of the education initiative Expedition D helps this on 08. and July 9th. is a guest at the primary and secondary school in Sulz am Neckar. In the two -story exhibition, the students can get to know important key technologies with two coaches and try them out themselves. It becomes clear the influence of digitization on the world of work and almost all job profiles. The truck is an offer of the Coaching4future education program, with which the Baden-Württemberg Foundation, the Südwestmetall employers' association and the Baden-Württemberg Regional Directorate are committed to the Federal Employment Agency as part of the school-based professional orientation offerings for the younger.

The visit to the expedition D-Truck in Sulz am Neckar offers young people the opportunity to expand their digital skills and to learn more about the effects of digitization on the world of work. The students can independently get to know various key technologies such as robotics, sensors, machine learning and coding and solve practical tasks. Due to the interactive character of the truck visit, the young people should also develop important skills such as teamwork, creativity and communication.

The Expedition D-Truck is part of the Coaching4Future program, which aims to inspire young people for MINT professions and to convey the necessary skills and knowledge. During the entire school year the truck tours through Baden-Württemberg and visits various schools and educational institutions.

The event will take place on July 8th and 09th, 2024 at the elementary and secondary school in Sulz am Neckar. The truck will be in the school yard and will be accessible to registered school classes. In order to plan a visit to the expedition D-Truck, a prior registration is recommended.
