Discover digital world: Expedition D-Truck in Tauberbischofsheim from November 4th, 2024

In order to promote the digital competencies of the young generation, the education initiative "Expedition D" brings its interactive experience-learning truck from November 4 to 6, 2024 to Tauberbischofsheim. Together with coaches, students from the region will explore the opportunities of the digitized working world and develop innovative technology solutions.

This initiative aims to not only sensitize pupils to the use of digital tools, but also to convey the necessary knowledge in order to actively help shape digital transformation. With practical workshops and interactive stations that cover topics such as robotics, Machine Learning, Coding and virtual reality, the program becomes an exciting and educational experience. A special focus is on teamwork and creative problem solving. These skills are not only key qualifications in the MINT subjects, but also in many other professions.

in Baden-Württemberg, where the need for skilled workers in technical professions and IT increase, it is crucial that students come into contact with modern technologies at an early stage. The initiative is part of the "Coaching4future" program, which is supported by various partners, including the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and the Südwestmetall employers' association.

Historically, the region around Stuttgart, known as the center of the automotive industry, has an enormous impact on the development of technologies and innovations in Germany. This story, coupled with current digitization, offers fertile soil for the development of new industrial solutions. The promotion of digital skills could secure the region's competitiveness in the long term.

In the following table, some aspects of the initiative are summarized:
