Expedition D: Mobile High-Tech exhibition shows digital working world in Eigelingen
Our everyday life is increasingly shaped by digital applications and technologies through progressive digitization. In order not only to use this, but also to understand, the education initiative "Expedition D" offers a mobile high-tech exhibition in Eigelingen. From May 6th to 8th, 2024, pupils of the community school Eiigeltingen can explore the world of digital technologies together with Coaches.
The experience-learning truck of the "Expedition D" is part of the Coaching4future education program, which is supported by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation, the Südwestmetall employers' association and the Baden-Württemberg Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency. The aim of the program is to promote the growth of skilled workers in the MINT area.
The interactive exhibition in double -story truck offers the students the opportunity to take part in technology stations and workshops. You will learn about various digital technologies, such as robotics, sensors, machine learning, coding and virtual reality. Through practical tasks and quiz questions, you deepen your knowledge and develop innovative products, such as a fitness app or a digital surgical assistant.
The importance of digital skills increases in many professional fields, not only in the area of IT. The Baden-Württemberg industry is already in structural change, and young young people are sought who want to actively participate in the digital transformation.
A visit to the "Expedition D" in Eigeltingen is possible for registered school classes. For optimal preparation, it is recommended to register in advance. The exact date of the exhibition is from Monday to Wednesday, May 6th to 8th, 2024, at the schoolyard of the community school Eiigeltingen.
For editorial visits, you are also asked to register in advance. The coaches of the "Expedition D" are available for questions and interviews. It is pointed out to take the image rights of the pupils into account in photo and TV recordings.
