The Expedition D-Truck shows young people in Friedrichshafen how they can help shape digitization. Digital technologies such as data protection, artificial intelligence and automation are omnipresent today and often unconsciously accompany our everyday life. The participation exhibition is intended to illustrate the students how digital applications are becoming increasingly important and change the world of work. Important key technologies such as robotics, sensors, machine learning, coding and virtual reality are presented. The young people have the opportunity to solve practical tasks and quiz questions, to take part in interactive workshops and to develop their own innovative products.
The importance of digital skills increases not only in the area of IT, but also in many other professional fields. The structural change in Baden-Württemberg industry requires young young people who can help shape the conversion of the economy with innovative ideas. It is therefore important that young people get to know and understand digital technologies at an early stage.
The Expedition D-Truck is open to registered school classes from May 15th to 17th in the school yard of the Schreiensch community school in Friedrichshafen. The students have the opportunity to try out different technologies, develop innovative products and to take part in hands-on workshops.
