Telekom improves mobile phone supply in Tuttlingen: New location and more bandwidth

Deutsche Telekom has built a new mobile phone location in Tuttlingen to improve mobile phone supply in the region. The measure aims to optimize the cover along the A7 motorway and the Baden-Württemberg-Süd railway line. With the expansion, necessary bandwidth is provided to meet the increasing demand. A further 29 locations are to follow by 2026, while in 33 existing locations LTE or 5G are expanded.

The mobile phone connection is a central element for modern lifestyle and economic development. At a time when the need for fast internet connections in life and work areas is steadily increasing, Telekom attaches great importance to expanding its infrastructure. The Tuttlingen district is currently enjoying a budget coverage of around 99 percent, which shows that Telekom's measures have already carried fruit in the past.

In particular, the connection along the highway is of great importance for commuters and freight transport, since these routes are among the main traffic arteries in the region. Improving mobile phone supply can lead to working people on the go and can use digital services, which increases efficiency and networking. Telekom has announced that it will increase the number of its locations in the Tuttlingen district by 2026 to a total of 95. The doubling of the number of mobile phone locations shows the growing need and fast development in the mobile phone area. The plan is supported by the close cooperation with the local municipalities, which is necessary to provide areas for new locations. This cooperation is crucial, since the placement of mobile phone masts is often only possible with careful planning with regard to the choice of location and approvals.
