Avalanche starts the Avalanche9000 test network, its largest upgrade so far

- The Avalanche9000 test network was started to reduce costs and enable L1s without permission.
- The upgrade reduces the validator and c-chain fees and improved accessibility.
- Avalanche has also started a $ 40 million subsidy program to create incentives for the introduction and development of new Avalanche L1.
avalanche, the eight -largest blockchain to Total Value Locked (TVL), has made a significant leap forward "Avalanche9000" upgrades in the test network .
This upgrade, which is described as the largest in the history of the blockchain, aims to revolutionize the app development, reduce transaction costs and make validator operations more affordable.
Avalanche9000: A complete revision of Avalanche
The upgrade went live on Monday at 1:00 p.m. and marks a decisive step on the way to the planned Mainset introduction until the end of 2025.
Avalanche9000 is not just a technical improvement, but a complete revision of the ecosystem that aims to simplify blockchain development for developers and reduce the costs for users.
The focus of the upgrade focuses on two transformative suggestions: ACP-77 and ACP-125.
ACP-77 introduces a new framework for validators that enables users to start their own inexpensive, permissible subnets that are now renamed "L1S". This change extends accessibility and enables developers to build their own chains from decentralized stock exchange operators to blockchain manufacturers.
ACP-125, on the other hand, lowers the minimum fees on the primary C-chain from Avalanche significantly from 25 navax to 1 navax, which corresponds to a reduction of 96 %. This step adapted the transaction costs of Avalanche to leading Layer 2 solutions from Ethereum such as Arbitrum and Polygon.
Avalanche9000 also expands its cross -chain skills through functions such as Interchain Messaging (ICM) and thus paving the way for interconnected decentralized applications (DAPPS). Over 500 new L1 are already in various stages of development that range from gaming chains to solutions for small companies.
This transformative upgrade underlines the mission of avalanche to reduce hurdles for the launch.
LUIGI D'UNORIO DEMEO, COO of AVA Labs, emphasized its groundbreaking character: "Avalanche9000 enables scalability and flexibility that was not yet possible." By making validators free of charge and reduces the costs, it redesigns what can be reached in our network. ”
40 million dollar subsidy program
The Avalanch Foundation has linked the Avalanche9000 upgrade with a robust $ 40 million subsidy program called "Retro9000", which is supposed to create incentives for the introduction and development of networks.
developers that build on the testnet can register for grants, with retroactive rewards available for the Mainnet provision.
A recommendation fund of $ 2 million within Retro9000 encourages influencers, business developers and important opinion leaders to advance acceptance.
Since Avalanche9000 is live on the test network and the start in the Mainset is planned for 2025, Avalanche is well positioned to strengthen its position in the competitive blockchain ecosystem and to promise a more accessible and cost-effective future for developers and users.
