Botlabs Trusted Entity GmbH launches web3Name, an app for creating custom digital names

botlabs Trusted Entity GmbH (Bt.E) has started web3Name, an application for the creation of custom names to present the digital identities of people. The application is based on the kilt blockchain.

Users can link their socialky registration information such as e-mail addresses, Twitter, Github, Twitch and Discord.

The creation of the custom name on web3Name is free, but for a limited time, as stated in the app advertising page .

Web3Name makes web3 more user -friendly and accessible to everyone by offering a personal and recognizable way for people to present their digital identity.

The custom identity created is personally

As soon as someone has created a custom digital identity on web3Name, the name remains its name forever, unless they want to give it up if they can return it to the web3Bame universe. As soon as the name is created, no extension fees are incurred.

The name created can be linked to the Kilt address and all other addresses in the entire polkadot ecosystem. The service will be extended to other chains in the coming days.

web3Name was developed to improve identity instead of replacing identity. Therefore, the created custom identity only complements the original digital-asset address instead of replacing it. Essentially, the web3 name identity created is linked to an existing address.

Users can only have one web3 name name per identity, although they can create several identities and create web3names for identities. Examples of identities include a work identity, a collator identity and a game identity.
