Calamari Network introduces Community government measures in the course of the progressive decentralization measures

The substrate-based defi data protection protocol Manta Network has introduced the community government function for its network Calamari Network based in Kusama. At the beginning of this year, the manta team activated the necessary functions for on-chain governance on Calamari with a term upgrade.

At the moment, the implementation of the central community governance function is in operation, and many additional functions are in preparation. As a rapidly growing ecosystem, the introduction of the governance function on Calamari marks an important milestone for the manta team. Runtime upgrade 3.1.1, which updated the code base for the Calamari network, was switched live on January 7, 2021 based on the community governance and marks a new chapter in decentralization for the relaiskette.

After the upgrade, the core development of the manta network can no longer implement or remove functions without the consent of the community. Every proposed change in the Calamari network is now promoted by the community, which is divided into three phases: the introductory phase, the voting phase and the staging phase.

In addition, the community will now consist of three different groups, all of which will be part of the governance. A group of three people from the Manta Core Development Team, called "The Council", will select suggestions and submit the community to vote.

Anyone who has the native Calamari (KMA) token is considered a "public token holder". Owners can use their share to support suggestions that try to become referenders and coordinate proposals that have been accepted as referenders.

After all, there is the "Technical Committee", which consists of three members of the Manta Core development team. You will be responsible for tracking the three phases quickly and ensuring that the community reaches a unanimous agreement for referenders.
