Coinbase has introduced a new function that enables users of Coinbase Wallet Instant Instant Messaging between two wallet addresses.

a blog entry announced on July 12 that the messaging function would use an integrated system that is based on the extensible measurement Protocol (XMTP). With this function, users can now access all-in-one measurement and payments, including gas-free USDC transfers to polygon.

In order to send one of the crypto assets supported by Coinbase Wallet, users only have to start a chat.

encrypted and private messages

Sid Coelho-Prabhu, Director of Product Management at Coinbase, wrote that the wallet-to-wallet messages will be completely encrypted, private and portable.

users can connect directly via their wallets and have conversations and chat courses with other XMTP-compatible apps. Coinbase Wallet initially provides the messaging function of a small group of users, including those of the LENS protocol of the social platform Web3.

to get started, you need access to the mobile coinbase wallet app. You also need a .lens account or should receive an invitation via QR code. If someone has used another XMTP apps, including ORB and Lenster, he will find all of his chats in his coinbase wallet mailing entrance.
