The artist protests against the culture of the rapid richness of crypto by chasing Lamborghini into the air to produce NFTS
- The artist SHL0MS has blown up a $ 250,000 Lamborghini Huracan in order to protest against the culture of rapid richness in the crypto room.
- The artist will create 999 NFTS from the Shard parts, which will be released on February 25th for auction.
The madness about blockchain-based non-fungible tokens (NFTS) spread like a running fire last year. NFTs were sold on the market for millions of dollars, with investors stepping in to make quick money. But can you imagine someone burning a Lamborghini in protest?
The artist SHL0MS recently burned a Lamborghini Huracan worth $ 250,000 to protest against the crypto culture that quickly becomes rich. In a unique protest style, the artist himself will convert the lambos' shearing parts into a collection of 999 NFTS. In a word with crypto messages publication the block, the artist says:
This technology is incredibly promising, there are so many good things that we could do with it, but so many terrible things are done with it. They are really extractive zero -sum practices.
The artist continues why he chose the Lamborghini. "The Lambo is a fairly strong representation of people who simply deal with crypto because it is a way for them to earn money with other people as soon as possible", he added .
The publication also adds that the artist SHL0MS does not have a traditional crypto background. However, they have been familiar with the cryptor room since 2016. SHL0MS continues the phenomenon of Skeuomorphism and explains that the digital world was designed in such a way that it shows that they pull a physical file through the room. to make it appear like the real world. With this idea the artist also played in her previous works of art.

shl0ms said that the demolition of a real lambos and the conversion of its fragments into NFTS represents the interface between physically and digitally. "The motif of destruction as a creation is quite widespread in the traditional art world. Not so common in the world of crypto art," he added.
shl0ms for the first time in September 2021 tweeted the idea of chasing a Lamborghini in the air. He spoke of "physically fractionating" the luxury car and creating NFTs from the fragments. Nick Maggiulli, Coo of Ritholtz Wealth Management, also asked the artists whether it would be "chaotically destroyed or methodically disassembled".
later, Shhl0ms carried out a survey on Twitter, in which his followers chose "chaos" instead of "order". In his then Twitter-Post, Shl0ms called :
I would also like to make it clear that I hate lambos and therefore want to destroy you. In fact, the DAO will only allow people who hate lambos, that will be our common ethos.
In order to advance this idea, SHL0MS received financial support from a single facility and used its own means from his previous art sales. After the explosion of the Lamborghini Huracan, the team collected and documented the shards. You also made a rotating video from each piece in 4K.
The collection will go on sale live on February 25, with the team will also reveal a complete video of the explosion. Of the total of 999 NFTS, 888 are for sale and the remaining 111 are available to the team and the first investors.
