Gemini receives a fundamental approval for an investment company license in Malta

The Crypto Exchange Gemini was granted in the basic approval for an investment company license of the financial regulatory authority of Malta.

Jennings said that Gemini will be able to show Perpetual Futures and options throughout the basic license in the EU and in the European Economic Area (EEA) as part of the markets in financial instruments as soon as it is offered in the EU and in the European Economic Area.
"The achievement of an impressed approval is a crucial step in our European expansion strategy of 2025," added Jennings.

Gemini's cross -impaired approval comes at a time when more organizations turn to Europe to expand their services.
Since the full introduction of Mica regulation in the EU at the end of 2024, a growing number of crypto platforms and service providers have already received approval. The approval of Mica enables providers to offer their products and services in the EEA.
The companies that have received complete Mica licenses include Bitpanda, Boerse Stuttgart Digital, Circle, Coinbase, Crypto.com, MoonPay and Okx.
