Jito publishes Open Source Restaking Service for Solana

The Jito Foundation has significantly improved Solana's blockchain functions by publishing the code for its staking and residual program. The RESTAKING revolution
RESTAKING is a process in which blockchain networks use the value of other assets used as security and thus ensure honesty and security throughout the network. Jito's open source code enables protocols on Solana to set up mechanisms that offer economic security for actively validated services (AVSS) using any crypto assets. This is a remarkable difference to the Ethereum-based model of self-layer, which limits the collateral to ETH, ETH derivatives and own tokens.

Jito's Restaking components
The Restaking Service from Jito consists of two main components: the safe program and the resttaking program.
The safe program is responsible for shaping, burning and delegating the Liquid Restaking Tokens (LRTS) by Jito. It supports all Solana Program Library (SPL) token as underlying assets, similar to the ERC 20 tokens from Ethereum.
The Restaking program manages Jitos Actively Validated Services (AVS) and takes care of the distribution of the rewards and the reduction of punishments. AVSS can lend the economic security of residual tokens, which makes the network safer and users are rewarded with additional yields.
JITOS Approach to Restaking also uses the maximum extractable value (MEV), which increases the staking rewards. Validers on Jito can achieve higher returns from staking rewards and MEV and thus potentially increase the validier sales with increasing acceptance by 15 % or more.
market reaction and future prospects
Jitos JTo-token recovered after the announcement and rose by 22.69 % to $ 3.21 on Friday. Solanas Sol also rose by 6.34 %on Friday, although this could be due to a general upswing on the market. Jitos Restaking code is currently open source and is waiting for the Mainset implementation, which is planned for later this year.
