US federal judge shows over $ 100 million against atomic wallet from
  • A US judge dismissed a claim against Atomic Wallet due to a lack of responsibility.
  • The court decided that there was not enough evidence and that no targeted attack took place in Colorado.
  • The plaintiffs have 21 days to justify their claims against shareholder Ilia Brusov.

In a recent legal victory for Atomic Wallet, a US federal judge rejected a crypt action against the crypto company based in Estonia and its key figures on the grounds that there is no responsibility.

the lawsuit was submitted by a group of users in early June. $ 100 million.

The allegations against Atomic Wallet

According to the plaintiffs, Atomic Wallet had provided his app in Colorado for download and advertised on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), which in her opinion should have justified responsibility.

one of the plaintiffs, Graham Dickinson, a resident of Colorado, claimed that he had often communicated from his home in the state with the customer service team from Atomic Wallet.

inadequate evidence

Richter Brimmer rejected the plaintiff's argument that it was unlikely that Atomic Wallet had targeted the market in Colorado, since the products were digital products.

"The type of products that are concerned here - software applications - makes it even less likely that Atomic Wallet has deliberately exploited the market in Colorado," wrote Brimmer in his judgment.

The judge of the District Court Colorado, Philip Brimmer, also decided that there was not enough evidence that Atomic Wallet maintains noteworthy contacts to the state of Colorado. In doing so, he denied the jurisdiction of the court for the company, his CEO Konstantin Gladyshev, the shareholder Pavel Sokolov and Evercode Infinite, the software development company.

While the lawsuit was rejected against most defendants, the judge granted the plaintiffs an additional 21 days to explain why the complaints against Ilia Brusov, shareholder and founder of Evercode Infinite should not be rejected.

The judge's decision is a decisive step in favor of the provider of crypto wallet in view of the continuing legal challenges after the hack.

This victory in court temporarily provides relief, while the company continues to fight with the consequences of the massive security violation.
