ZKsync introduces Elastic Chain network from ZK chains

- ZKSync provided an upgrade last month with which it can convert its Ethereum bridge into a jointly used router to support a network of interoperable ZK chains.
- It is expected that in 2024 twenty other chains will join the ecosystem of the elastic chain.
After an upgrade in June 2024, ZKSync now offers multicia support, so that others can join his ecosystem with the ZK-Stack from interconnected chains. The updated protocol (ZKsync 3.0) will drive the Elastic Chain, support inexpensive interoperability and promote uniform liquidity across several chains.
This development is one of several recent efforts by different Layer-2 networks, interoperable layer-2 networks on the basic network Ethereum.
Optimism is a popular example of another Layer 2 chain that develops into a network of chains that are built up using their technology stack. Polygon, another Layer 2 chain, which develops into a multichain ecosystem, introduced Agglayer in January that enables developers to connect layer 1 or layer-2 chains with polygons growing network of interoperable chains.
The Elastic Chain is an ecosystem of autonomous chains that are connected to each other at the protocol level to enable native asset transfers without resistance. Although the ecosystem consists of several chains, it is like a single chain.
ZKsync is the first pioneer to develop an interoperable layer of blockchains with zero-knowledge evidence.
