TransnetBW enables smooth operation of charging stations for e-mobilists
As part of the Banula project (barrier -free and user -friendly charging options), TransnetBW, Decarbon1ze, Badenova and Stadtwerk am See have enabled the transition to the system -useful operation of charging stations. The aim of the project is to promote the competition at the charging station and enable e-mobilists to take their own electricity suppliers with you to public charging stations. However, this creates challenges for the charging point operators that were solved by the project partners.
As part of the project, a field test was carried out in Breisach, in which the transition from public charging stations to the model of the virtual accounting area was carried out smoothly. The management of the virtual accounting area was taken over by the Berlin start-up decarbon1ze. The introduction of a default supplier remains access to ad hoc charging processes, roaming and other tariffs from the charging point operator at all times. This enables the operators to open the charging infrastructure for the passage at home, work or on the go.
The Banula model would like to integrate existing market participants in the best possible way and eliminate obstacles for charging point operators when transitioning to the virtual accounting area. An infrastructure fee is determined for economic operation by the CPO, which is rewarded with the charging point operator for the provision of its charging station for other suppliers. At the same time, existing customers and roaming customers can continue to be supplied on the same charging column of Badenova.
The Banula project consists of eight strong partners from science and industry and builds on the "network access rules presented by the Federal Network Agency to enable a charging process in balance sheet. As part of the project, a tailor-made software solution based on blockchain technology is also developed to ensure more transparency and security.
The press release contains further information on the Banula project and contact details for further questions.
