Willstätt-Hesselhurst, Deutschland - drama in Willstätt-Hesselhurst! An apartment fire caused excitement in the early morning. The firefighters were alerted at around 5:35 a.m. when the fire broke out in the attic of an apartment building. The emergency services immediately hurried on the spot and bravely saved two injured residents from the flames. A 40-year-old man desperately jumped onto a balcony on the first floor to escape the fire, but suffered serious injuries. The fire brigade used its aerial ladder to recover it from the burning apartment.

The road in front of the building remained closed until noon because a photovoltaic system had to be removed from the roof.
