Fire brigade youngsters in Rottweil: 19 new Florian disciples ready for use!

in Rottweil The young fire brigade has reached a significant milestone! After intensive nine weeks full of theory and practice, the new Florian disciples with flying colors passed the basic course (troop man part 1). This course is the first step for everyone who wants to enter the active service of the volunteer fire brigade.

Head of course Rainer Banholzer and his team proudly presented the documents to the 19 newly trained firefighters. The training not only included dealing with heavy technical equipment such as scissors and spreaders for rescue after traffic accidents, but also the extinguishing of fires. In addition, important topics such as vehicle studies, first aid and radio training were dealt with. Particularly noteworthy: for the first time, the basics of psychosocial emergency care (PSNV) were included in the curriculum to prepare the emergency services for mentally stressful situations.

The training was a joint project in which firefighters from various communities in the district took part. In addition to the Rottweil fire brigade, the fire brigades from Bösingen-Hermenzimmern, Deisslingen, Wellendingen-Wilflingen, Vöhringen and Zimmer above were also represent. Deputy Commandant Rainer Knoblauch also brought his congratulations and praised the commitment and determination of the new firefighters and men who are now willing to use their learned knowledge for the benefit of the population.
