Bodensee Christmas: Festive opening on November 29th at Buchhornplatz!

The anticipation for the festive season increases! On Friday, November 29, at 6 p.m., the Bodensee Christmas on the Buchhornplatz will start with a grand opening ceremony. Mayor Andreas Hein and Dean Bernd Herbinger give the starting signal for 24 days full of Christmas magic, which will last until December 22nd. Visitors can look forward to a varied program that is open from Monday to Thursday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. and on Fridays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A total of 79 market dealers present their goods in 51 festively decorated huts directly on the picturesque Lake Constance. There are international delicacies, handicrafts, gift ideas and warming drinks that invite you to linger. The Christmas market extends across the entire Buchhornplatz and Romanshorner Platz, where snack and mulled wine stands as well as booths with sweet treats are waiting for the guests.

A festival for the whole family

For the little visitors there is an exciting children's program with a carousel and a popular railway. The Medienhaus am See offers creative reading and handicrafts as well as children's cinema. The adults are not neglected either: With a diverse culinary offer, you can meet friends and neighbors and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

A highlight of the market is the large crib, which has been built up by volunteers for almost three decades. In addition, the Christmas season is celebrated with an impressive eight meter high Nordmann fir and a 13 meter high Christmas pyramid, which offers guests from Constance, Austria and Switzerland.

The stage program promises a colorful experience for all ages with 29 program points, including appearances by choirs and dance groups. The Häfler school band "Radioactive Honey" will provide musical entertainment on several evenings. The ice stock railway on Romanshorner Platz opens on November 18 and is a popular attraction for groups and school classes.
