AfD parliamentary group spokesman criticizes hospital planning in Baden-Württemberg
Future-relevant hospital planning is required in Baden-Württemberg in order to take into account the need not to disadvantage anyone and to include technical developments in health care. This was said by Bernhard Eisenhut MdL, the health policy AfD parliamentary group spokesman, during a hospital debate in the state parliament. Eisenhut emphasized that this planning should have been carried out at times when the health system was still working.
currently there are three clinics in Baden-Württemberg in bankruptcy proceedings. This is a certificate of poverty for an industrial country like Baden-Württemberg and given an annual state budget of over 60 billion euros. Eisenhut advocated to save some of the 134 million euros planned for unaccompanied minor refugees or the 676 million euros for the recording, accommodation and support of refugees. These funds could be invested in the German hospital landscape.
Eisenhut warned that people may ask in vain for medical help or will no longer find a place in a hospital. He emphasized the urgency to prevent people from dying alone in a hospital hall.
It remains to be seen how the state government will react to these claims and which specific measures are taken to improve hospital planning.
