Robert Bosch Foundation celebrates 60th anniversary with anniversary event in Stuttgart
The Robert Bosch Foundation celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2024 with an anniversary event in Stuttgart, in which around 100 representatives: inside from politics, business and society are present. Since its foundation in 1964, the foundation has invested a total of over 2.3 billion euros in non -profit projects in order to enable a fair and sustainable future. The anniversary program focuses on looking at the past six decades in which the foundation has made a difference. Prominent guest speakers: Inside the event includes Petra Olschowski, Minister of Science, Research and Art Baden-Württemberg, Jennifer Morgan, State Secretary and special representative for international climate policy in the Federal Foreign Office, and Heyo K. Kroemer, CEO-University Medical Center Berlin.
The milestones in the history of the foundation reflect social issues of the past decades, including overcoming the Iron Curtain in Europe, the first Pisa shock in Germany, the 2015/2016 refugee immigration and the Russian attack war on Ukraine. The foundation is involved in 28 countries worldwide, including in selected regions of Subsahara Africa and is now supporting Ukrainian civil society in the reconstruction of the country with at least 20 million euros by 2028.
A special interest of the foundation applies to strengthening health care at the Stuttgart location. Over the next five years, the foundation will invest over half a billion euros in the expansion of the Bosch Health Campus and its facilities, including the Robert Bosch Hospital.
The Robert Bosch Foundation goes back to the legacy of the entrepreneur and founder Robert Bosch. In his will, he formulated the order to continue both the successful development of his company and his social commitment. This model of company ownership and social responsibility is described as visionary by Christof Bosch, the grandson of Robert Bosch and curator of the foundation.
