The young choir inspires Advent with a sonorous concert
In a festive atmosphere, the young choir of the New Apostolic Church in Southern Germany and the newly founded Federal Youth Choir completed the current concert series and impressively presented their musical skills. The two concerts of the young choir entitled "Change" took place on November 30th in Bruchsal and on December 1st in Pforzheim-Brötzingen. The name reflects the transition period between the old and the new church year, in which the young singers offer both traditional and modern choral music. Works by Bach, Brahms, Mendelssohn and Schütz were heard. The motet "The Spirit helps our weakness" by Bach and Arvo Pärts Contemporary piece "What was the Son of ..." demonstrated the variety and depth of the program, which the listeners captivated, as on nak-sued.de can be read.
Federal Youth Choir inspires with cross -border talent
A little later, on August 28, 2021, the Federal Youth Choir performed in the Berlin Philharmonic, an event that is to be understood as a wake-up call for all concert and festival organizers. Under the direction of Prof. Anne Kohler, the choir developed into an impressive musical unity. With a program that included both romantic and contemporary works, the choir showed its high professionalism and sensitive performance, while the four double -choir channels by Robert Schumann and Brahms captivated the audience. This cultural initiative is financed by the Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth and promotes young talents from Germany, as described on choere-evangelisch.de
The young choir, which consists of young people under the age of 35 and is led by Frank Ellinger, is already planning the performance of Bach's Matthäus Passion for 2025. This demonstration of musical diversity shows the commitment of the choirs in Germany and gives hope for many other impressive concerts.
