Large timetable change in Karlsruhe: All changes at a glance!

As part of the large timetable change, which will take effect on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in the region of the Karlsruhe Verkehrsverbund (KVV), passengers can expect a comprehensive update in bus and rail traffic. According to meinka.de and the KVV website there will be numerous changes to the bus lines that include new connections as well as improvements in the mobility offer. The KVV recommends all passengers to find out online about the respective changes before starting travel, since all adjustments have been entered into the information media of the transport association.

important line changes

The changes to the bus lines of the Karlsruhe (VBK) transport company must be particularly emphasized. Line 21 from Grötzingen to Durlach will receive additional journeys to the Emil-Arheit-Halle stop. The situation is different with line 29, which will be removed at the end of the year due to the hiring of the Turmbergbahn. Line 52 will also be changed, whereby trips in late traffic will only be offered as a call line taxi in the future. In addition, the cycle times in line 5 are adapted to make the tram offer more stable. A more comprehensive overview of the changes is available online on the KVV homepage.

In addition, new holding and ending points are created, as with line 107, which now also serves the Ettlingen Rathaus stop in both directions. The timetable of the city railways remains largely unchanged, but there will be smaller adjustments to the travel times for some lines such as the S1 and S11 to ensure optimal connections. The recommendation of the KVV is also particularly important to find out more about the new timetables directly on the Internet or in the customer and travel centers.
