New innovation center in Hauingen: forward -looking and sustainable!
In Lörrach-Hauingen, a modern office building is being built with the new development center of the Magnetic company, which is characterized by a well thought-out energy concept and a clear facade design. Builders Bernd Reuter emphasizes that the building corresponds to strict criteria in terms of functionality and sustainability. Nevertheless, he expresses frustration on the multiple intended but ultimately not implemented KfW funding, which should have supported the project. "We tried everything, but had to do without a high six -figure amount," he explains. Magnetic spokeswoman Kerstin Blank also emphasizes that a large showroom is to be built in Hauingen, where products are presented and training and events will take place.
Magnetic, based in Grienmatt Fahrnau, is known as the “Hidden Champion”. The company coordinates its global sales network from Fahrnau and sets standards with innovative security solutions. Almost all products are developed internally, which strengthens independence and market position of the company. The construction of the development center is considered an important step into the future of the company.
Change of leadership at Magnetic
In addition, there was a change in corporate management in January: Heiko Lais took over the management of Arno Steiner, who switched to the parent company. The new building will be completed and opened under the direction of Lais. Steiner had already announced in 2023 that a lot would change at Magnetic. An important point is the move of numerous jobs and departments to the new premises in Lörrach-Hauingen. Nevertheless, production remains in Schopfheim, where the Momentum product line is mainly manufactured for airports.
The construction of the development center not only shows an investment in the future of the company, but also reflects the way that Magnetic is planning on the market as an important player.
