Interactive and creative: Experience art in Stuttgart!
In the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and the Kunsthalle Mannheim, the innovative project “From the Work to the Display” is currently taking place. This initiative enables visitors to act interactively with works of art and become co-artists themselves. The aim of the project is to convey the unique quality of works of art in digital space.
The project offers a digital platform on which works of art can be re -experienced and designed. This includes 22 works of art from both collections, which are presented in new, experimental placement approaches. An outstanding example is Johannes Ittens painting "The Bachsänger (Helge Lindberg)", which invites visitors to interactive exploration. The focus is on the interaction of color, shape and contrast.
interactive experiences and digital translations
Another remarkable work that is discussed as part of the project is Otto Dix '"big city". Visitors can bring the figures of this otherwise static painting to life through virtual animation, as they tell from their own perspective. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to combine elements from pictures of Mona Ardeleanu on a digital artboard to their own collages and new works of art.
With different interactive elements, such as activating noises and selecting avatars, a complex experience is created, which also reflects the brutal snapshots of the Weimar Republic. In addition, further episodes are planned in the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, the works by renowned artists: Inside such as Willi Baumeister, Hanne Brenken, Rebecca Horn, Wolfgang Laib, Josephine Meckseper, Dieter Roth and Mirja Wellmann.
