This project funding is intended to initiate and consolidate best practice examples for innovative digital learning and organizational scenarios as well as sustainable structural changes in the organization. The aim is to transfer the results obtained to other adult education centers. A total of 720,000 euros are available for promoting the four pilot networks in 2021 and 2022.

The digital pilot folk universities do pioneering work for the future of further training," says Education Minister Theresa Schopper and adds: "The digital change makes it necessary to adapt established processes in the adult education centers to the new challenges. The task of the digital pilot folk universities is to try out new, agile approaches and develop solutions for the future." Until mid -July, the more than 160 adult education centers in the country had the opportunity to apply as a cooperation network of at least two adult education centers with innovative concepts.
