with the funding program "Learn with Backwind “ The Ministry of Culture supports the pupils in catching learning residues after pandemic. As part of the funding program, schools can now also use the learning diagnostics "Quop" The application is provided to the schools of Institute for Education Analysis Baden-Württemberg (IBBW) free of charge. It helps teacher and support forces to raise the level of learning of pupils. By testing at various times in the school year, “Quop” also enables a learning course to present it. This shows whether and how much a student has improved and where it still has to be reworked.

"With the learning diagnosis 'quop', we provide the schools at 'Learning with tailwind' another instrument. The software is developed on a scientific basis and enables teachers to promote the pupils precisely and also see their development," says Minister of Culture Theresa Schopper. She emphasizes: "The program also stands for the path of data -supported quality development that we want to go. 'Quop' has already been tested in other federal states and should now also contribute to our catch -up program that the pupils can catch up as much as possible from what could not take place due to the school closings."

easy to use and web -based diagnostics

The learning diagnostics are easy to use and works web -based. Only one computer or a tablet with internet access is required. With “Quop”, teachers can read the learning developments in the areas, mathematics and English for grades 1 to 6 at up to ten times in the school year. For this, the students carry out the ten to 15-minute test and then the teachers can see the results for both the class and the students.

"It has been scientifically proven that the continuous observation of learning courses with corresponding feedback to the students is particularly effective," says State Secretary Sandra Boser. It adds: "Because 'Quop' takes place web -based, access is very simple and the teachers can use the digital tool to optimally align their lessons at the level of the students." As various scientific studies were able to demonstrate, this path leads to better quality development of the learners.
