Relief from the quarantine obligation in schools and daycare centers

With the change in the Corona Excendency Ordinance, on August 28th, especially for pupils as well as for primary school and daycare children, relief in school and day care center.

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration has today, Friday, August 27th, the separation by Corona regulation revised. On Saturday, August 28th, further simplifications will come into force, especially for pupils and primary school and daycare children- combined with targeted tests for more security in schools and daycare centers.

68 percent of all over twelve -year -olds in the country are now vaccinated, 66.5 percent of them already have full vaccination protection. This enables the relief that are now made.

The changes in detail for secondary schools:

• The quarantine of classmates can be eliminated in a positive case in the class if they were negatively tested for the corona virus for a period of five school days. Recognized and vaccinated students do not have to be tested.

The changes in detail for primary schools and daycare centers:

• The quarantine of children can be omitted in the care group in a positive case if they have been tested negatively. Sucked children are excluded from the tests.

The changes in detail for nursing homes and hospitals:

• If a positive case occurs in the institutions mentioned, the health department only orders in individual cases that vaccinated and recovered people must also be placed under quarantine.
