More people in Baden-Württemberg are offered a vaccination

Baden-Württemberg immediately begins with the vaccination of all people up to and including 64 years from the second priority of the recommendation of the constant vaccination commission. In addition, people who work in schools and daycare centers in direct contact with children can be vaccinated.

Schools and daycare centers therefore come first when it is blocked. Therefore, I took up my mind on Monday that the teachers are also given the second priority. My colleagues and Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn followed this example. We also go through the basic decision in Baden-Württemberg Health Ministers' Conference and offer all teachers the opportunity to be vaccinated, not only teachers at primary and special schools.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration informed all teachers of the country on Tuesday in a letter that they can now book a vaccination date in a vaccination center.

"We are making good progress with our vaccination campaign. We expect around 450,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine until mid-March. That is why we can start with the Prio 2 vaccination faster than a few weeks ago, ”said Minister Lucha.

The following people between 18 and 64 years have been vaccinated since February 22, 2021 in Baden-Württemberg in addition to the previous groups of priority 1 in level 2 of the STIKO recommendations:

• people with a high or increased risk of exposure in medical facilities, including:

• active in the outpatient or inpatient care of people with dementia or intellectual disabilities

The employer's certificate is proof of justification

For the appointment in the vaccination center, the vaccinators need a certificate of their employer about the employment relationship and the corresponding activity. This is proof of your authorization. If you make appointments via the online platform, please note: Teachers and other employees in the educational institutions have not yet been expressly identified as a group that is entitled to vaccinations. The state uses the federal system here and is dependent on the federal government to change the texts of the booking system. The groups mentioned are entitled to make an appointment for vaccination with the astrazeneca vaccine with immediate effect if they are younger than 65 years. The data booked in this way are valid. The actual review of the vaccination authorization takes place on site in the centers.
