Goals and content of the new curriculum

The aim of the new educational plans is to connect to the educational plans of the general schools and to lead to general university access qualifications. Other goals are the sharpening of the relationship between learning content and professional reality, the appropriate presentation of digital media as learning instruments and the even greater importance of acquiring skills in the MINT subjects. In addition to the five technical profile subjects (mechatronics, information technology, design and media technology, technology and management, environmental technology), the profile subjects of agricultural biology, biotechnology, nutrition and chemistry as well as health and biology also focus on the MINT area. In the future, computer science will be compulsory for all school children in all three school years. In addition, other scientific subjects (biology, chemistry, physics) will be in all six directions of the vocational school- agricultural sciences, biotechnology, nutritional sciences, social and health sciences, technology and business- in three-hour classes there are still two hours of laboratory exercises at the technical high schools.

More options for individual talents
